Our team ended up with this topic because we believe that it is helpful to learn about disaster preparedness not just for our city but for every individual around the globe.
After the brain storming about the topic for our blog we appointed tasks and positions for every member of the team which helped upon finishing the blog in order and in a faster and proper manner.
We conducted research about disaster awareness for us to be able to have a point of view on whole topic.
After conducting researches about disaster preparedness, we conducted an interview with the Ugong Rescue Unit Chief, Hon.Felix Santos, a former councilor of Brgy. Ugong in Pasig City . There are several rescue teams around Pasig but we chose the Ugong rescue unit because of their outstanding achievements not only locally but internationally as well. With that, we thank them for the very informative interview, videos and pictures for without those facts we were not able to give proper information about the disaster preparedness and management in our city. It is also through the efforts of Mr. Darwin Inocencio,a resident of Ugong and our new but very cooperative and enthusiastic teacher, that we were able to meet and build a good relationship with the Ugong Rescue team.
This project owed a lot also from our community partners - the Educast c.i.t.e.s. FDN under the leadership of Engr. Serafin "Apin" Olaso, and Sir Bingo Espinosa who provided us the video cameras and equipment used in our video and photography sessions. Thank you also to his personnel, Mr. Lexter Lee N. Gomez and Richlord Victorio for mentoring our team in video editing.
And at last, we have come up to connect the talents of our team, and then put our ideas together to create this blog. We started editing the photos, background music, writing the contents of the blog and editing the videos which are very tiring and hard to do but self-fulfilling.
For the technical production, available soft wares were used. For the different designs, Cyber link Power director and Proshow gold for video editing, Audacity for sound editing, Fincastle rescue for photos, Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Adobe premiere for photo editing, Photobucket for hosting our animated images and Iisalang by Parokya ni Edgar and Trip by 6 Cyclemind for background music.
Now our team proudly presents Pasig R.A.P.I.D. (ready, prepared, alert, in disasters) the blog that we have created with our very heart and soul.
